Introducing our new Hosts for Priority One...

28 May 2011 | It is with great pleasure that we announce our new Hosts for Priority One! Please join me in welcoming Elijah and James to the show!

Both of them have been playing STO for a long time and have experience in the theatre/ acting world! We are very excited to have them continue the Priority One tradition and carry on the main theme of the show, the community focus. Stay tuned for a "hello" from both of them in this thread!

Their first show, featuring an interview with dStahl, will be airing in June -- new episodes will continue to come out weekly. Everything you have loved about Priority One will continue, including the format. We are excited for you all to get to know them both.

Also, I want to thank everyone that came and auditioned for the show -- it was a VERY hard decision to make as there were so many great community members that were interested. As always, stay passionate, stay involved, and keep rockin' the STO world!

Hello my fellow Trek fans,

Let me start with a heartfelt thank you. The chance to be your voice for our love of Trek is amazing.

When I got the call, I was in the middle of the California desert way out past Mojave at George Air Force Base in the middle of a 600 man combat training simulation. Tired and worn out, refilling ammo and water for the next day, my phone rang in my pocket. I called back the number and got the news that I will be joining my favorite Podcast crew as a new host. All soreness was gone, all issues pushed to second as Brandon told me, you have a fantastic new Co-host "Elijah" with the same fire and passion for the show and Trek that we all share.

I am 33 years old, a Gulf War Veteran and former police officer. I love this country and what it stands for, and most of all the great ideas and people that bring us visions of the future like Star Trek. My mother would watch TOS when I was very young and I would stay up to watch with her as the only other sci-fi buff in the house. When I saw Wrath of Khan for the first time, that was it. I was hooked after the scene when the Enterprise leaves mooring. I felt like a member of the crew from that moment on and just kept get transferred to each new Enterprise as the TNG came with new shows and movies.

I hope to get to know all our listeners much better and give you the best show our crew on the U.S.S. Priority One can broadcast into subspace. I'll see you out there!

Hello!

Thanks to everyone for the warm wishes! I simply can’t express how excited I am to serve each and every one of you! I’ve been a passionate Trekkie for some time now and taking part in this new adventure, with like-minded individuals, is thrilling. I can’t wait to discover the future together!

I remember being 11 years old and staying up (without my Mom realizing) so that I could watch late night re-runs of TNG. Interestingly enough, no one in my family is a Trekkie – yet, at 11 years old, I was hooked on a show with meanings and subtexts that were challenging and thought provoking. Still, it wasn’t until college that I began to watch the show religiously. I was finding some great deals on eBay for TNG and the discs barely arrived before I had finished with the previous sets. It all came together when I attended my first Star Trek Convention in 2008 and had a phenomenal experience!

When I learned about STO, I was immediately hooked to the idea of actually participating in a universe I loved so dearly! Like many of you, I was glued to my screen, constantly reading up on developments for the game. Finally, we were given the opportunity to wear the pips and captain our ships (rhyme not intentional). I still Geek-Out when I fly around Earth in my own cruiser!

A little more about me – I recently graduated with a B.A. in Theatre; more specifically, Music Theatre. If all goes well, all that money I put into college will help entertain you! Regardless, I have the privilege of working with a talented team. Together, we’ll crank out shows that will make you proud!

As I mentioned earlier, my job is to make you happy. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’m pretty easy to get a hold of.

-Elijah

Elijah is a natural performer! Recently graduating with a degree in Theater, he's an award winning singer and an amazing actor. He first fell in love with Star Trek in college while watching seasons on DVD.
James, who has a background in law enforcement, currently works with tech in a security firm. He's loved Star Trek from a young age, when he'd watch TNG with his family.
